Delivered by several suppliers, approximately a dozen different raw materials with a purity between 96% - 98% and with special grain sizes and properties are available for various uses. After firing to a temperature of up to 1,400°C, MgO components have a porous structure and are used as break tubes or windings with high resistivity and excellent thermal conductivity, for example, as heating cartridges in the electrical industry.
